Walking together, with your dog, on a loose lead is a fantastic feeling! But many dogs find this a challenging skill to learn. My loose lead classes are designed to help you and your dog connect with each other while you walk.
I will teach you skills to help focus your dog, pace changes, directional changes and how to cope with everyday distractions like traffic, joggers, cyclists and other dogs.
Loose lead walking classes take place every three weeks and last for an hour. The venue is Thompson House Equestrian Centre, Pepper Lane, Standish, WN6 0PP. The class time is 13.45 on a Thursday. You will need lots of tiny treats in a treat bag that attaches to your belt, a clicker, a leather or webbing lead with a handle (not an extending lead nor a slip lead), a leather or webbing collar (not a chain), you may choose for your dog to wear a harness, this is also fine. Please also remember to bring poo bags with you. Each hour workshop costs £25 which is payable in advance.
These sessions are not suitable for reactive or fearful dogs. The next loose lead walking class is taking place on Thursday 4th May 2017, 13.45 – 14.45. To book a place, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
